PEEK AT OUR
Each brand development project takes approximately 20 to 30 business days and full brand & web design projects can take 3+ months. All times are dependent on client response time, revisions, and our current booking schedule.
Like any relationship, we need to first chat to make sure we’d be a good fit for one another. We can do this either via skype or phone call. I’ll ask you some questions about your business such as your visions and goals for your website and brand and you can feel free to ask me any questions you may have for me. This will give us a chance to make sure we’re on the same page and really get to know each other!
Once we’ve determined that we’re a good match, I’ll send a Branding Questionnaire and a detailed quote your way. If everything looks good, simply fill out, sign, and send the proposal back to me to get started. I kindly request a 25% deposit upfront to hold your spot in the queue.
After the initial paperwork has been filled out, I will send a detailed timeline your way. This will include everything from mockups to the final product. This schedule will also contain due dates for any client homework I’ve assigned (verbiage, images, feedback, content, etc). Creating and following a schedule will ensure that both of us stay on track and launch your project on time.
Before I begin your project, l’lI give you some homework to complete to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible. Not only will the completion of this ensure that we stay on schedule, it’ll also give me valuable insight into your brand moving forward. I’ll also ask you to create an inspiration board on Pinterest (this can be pibluc or private, it’s entirely up to you!). Some things that would be good to pin are lifestlye imagery, patterns, colors, design examples, and logos you like. After a few days of pinning, I’ll join in and add things that I feel would match your aesthetic.
Make sure we’re on the same page
After the Pinterest board has been created and you’ve pinned to you hearts content, I’ll ask that you narrow the board down to 20-30 essential images. We then set up a Skype or phone call to go over your answers to the Brand questionnaire and visual inspiration. If you have any questions or comments for me, this is a great time to ask!
If we’re working on a full brand makeover, this is where I present the initial logo concepts. I will send 10 different concepts your way for you to choose from. These concepts will be entirely black and white to give you a good feel for the design so you don’t get too overwhelmed. I’ll ask that you narrow down to 2-4 logos to explore futher in the next round. The more detailed you are with you feedback, the better!
Once you’ve narrowed the logos down to 3-5 concepts, I’ll use your feedback to refine the remaining selections. In this phase, I’ll make a couple mockups either on a basic website design or collateral piece to give as much context as possible and show how it could work in the greater scheme of your brand.
In this last phase, you will have narrowed down the logo down to the final concept. This is where we’ll start to explore different colors for more refinement. Once done, I’ll send you the .psd, .ai, .jpeg, and .png files! Please note that any extra revisions after this phase will be billed at an hourly rate of $25 per hour.
Now that your logo is finalized, we’ll pull everything together to create a brand style guide. This will create a framework for your brand styling and a basic outline for how to present your brand going forward.
Once we’ve finalized your brand style, I’ll create your brand collateral. This will include business cards, letterhead/stationery, Facebook cover, Twitter banner, and print setup. Additional business collateral can be billed at my hourly rate of $25 per hour.
BRAND & WEB DESIGN
Now that we’ve established your brand style I can begin putting together your custom-built website. At this point, I’ll send you a website questionnaire so I can be sure to include all appropriate information when building your site. I will then send you three mockups to choose from based on your brand style + website questionnaire. Feel free to mix and match different elements from the website mockups! After you decide on a final design I’ll create one interior page mockup. As with the logo concepts, detailed feedback is always the most helpful so I can be sure to give you exactly what you want.
The next step in the process is – you guessed it – starting the website! In this stage I will get the basic framework of the website built and ready to go. Once that’s all in place, I’ll build the homepage to match the mockup of your choice and submit it to you for feedback. Don’t hesitate to call me with any questions on functionality, design, or requests at this point. Your website will be a crucial part of your brand and I want to make sure that you absolutely love it and feel comfortable moving forward with everything.
Interior Page Design
After our follow up chat, I’ll begin working on the interior pages of the website. I allow one round of revision per page to ensure that everything is to your liking and to address small changes that I may have missed.
At this point, we’ll schedule a Skype call where I walk you through updating and maintaining your new website. I’ll share my screen with you as I’m walking you through everything to make sure you understand as much as possible. Feel free to use this time to ask any questions regarding the website. Web design can be confusing at times but don’t worry – I’ll be there to walk you through it every step of the way!
Once the final payment has been made and the walkthrough completed, your site is ready to launch! I’ll provide you with Facebook, Twitter, and blog graphics to create hype around your new brand and website! You will have two weeks after your site has launched to email me with any questions in regards to your new site free of charge. Anything after that will be billed at my hourly rate.
